Albert Park Lake
As the morning sun rises over the lake, hot air balloons are a frequent site floating above the many early morning joggers and training groups who enjoy the many sporting facilities within Albert Park.
You could walk, cycle or run the 5kms that winds around Albert Park Lake, join in with any one of a number of mixed group sports teams that play indoor soccer and netball within the Albert Park Indoor Sports Centre or become a member of either a rowing, sailing, cricket, football, soccer baseball, hockey lawn bowls or tennis club, that all enjoy the outdoor amenity of Albert Park.
Albert Park is also home to the Melbourne Swimming and Aquatic Centre a world class aquatic, sporting, wellness and leisure facility feacturing both 50m indoor and outdoor pools, a wave pool and children’s play area, as well as facilities for basketball, squash, badminton, table tennis, pilates, a wellness zone and a private gym.
Albert Park also has its own par 72 public access championship golf course, where palyers can enjoys picturesque views of Albert Park Lake and Melbourne’s city Skyline.
Golfers can also improve their putting and driving skills at the Albert Park Driving Range (250 meters). With PGA qualified teaching professions, 60 individual driving bays and a separate short game practice area, the range caters for all levels of golfer.
